From Limitations to Innovation: The Story of Samroeng

Mr. Samroeng, a man whose lack of formal education never hindered his ambition, leveraged over 50 years of experience working with heavy machinery and tractors in industrial settings to create a tractor designed for family farms.

In 1996, Mr. Samroeng observed the limitations of traditional “walking tractors” used by farmers as an alternative to oxen. These machines were cumbersome and often dictated the pace of work, rather than supporting it. Additionally, larger agricultural tractors were prohibitively expensive for many farmers. This inspired Mr. Samroeng to innovate. He developed an attachable component that transformed existing walking tractors into seated tractor. This simple yet ingenious solution allowed farmers to operate their tractors more comfortably and efficiently, while significantly reducing costs. From idea to reality, the “Modtanoy”(ANT) seated tractor attachment was born. This award-winning invention has since been sold widely throughout Thailand and neighboring countries, empowering countless farmers with a practical and affordable tool.
